School Safety
The safety of the students and staff of Havana Community Unit School District #126 remains of utmost importance to the district leadership team. In an era of ever increasing school violence, all of us need to keep vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities which could represent a threat to the school. In an effort to facilitate the reporting process, the district has created a "Threat Reporting" form that once submitted will be sent to the appropriate district administrators for investigation and potential law enforcement involvement. This form can be submitted anonymously; however, the more information provided will aid in the investigation.
Anything that could be considered a threat to the safety of the students and staff should be reported immediately. All reports will be fully investigated and appropriate actions will be taken.
The district prohibits knowingly providing a false report of a threat. Knowingly filing a false report is a serious offense and will result in disciplinary actions as per the student handbook and may lead to prosecution.
