ATTENTION JUNIORS!!!
All eligible juniors will be taking the SAT examination on April 12th as part of required state testing. Juniors will be testing from 8:00am to approximately 1:00pm. It is advisable that students eat a good breakfast that morning. After testing is completed, juniors will be dismissed for the rest of the day.
The SAT
The SAT is another college entrance examination. It measures the skills you have learned in and outside of the classroom and how well you can apply that knowledge. It tests how you think, solve problems, and communicate. The test is composed of the following sections:
Scoring:
All multiple choice questions are scored the same way: one point for each correct answer. No points are subtracted for incorrect multiple choice answers or for incorrect student-produced response questions. Test takers are encouraged to answer every question. The total score possible is 1600.
