ARMED SERVICES VOCATIONAL APTITUDE BATTERY (ASVAB)
What is the ASVAB?
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a timed multi-aptitude test, which measures four critical areas: Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, and Mathematics Knowledge. The scores in these four areas are used to calculate the test taker's Armed Forces Qualifying Test (AFQT) score. The AFQT score is used to determine if a citizen is qualified to enlist in the US military. Assuming that a qualifying AFQT scores is received, a test taker's individual sub-scores will determine career field and military occupational eligibility.
